Godspell
with Monroe Theatre Guild. Not only will I be co-producing and designing
this show I am also one of the ten characters in this classic musical! Dates

The first
ever St Victor School Art Fair. This special event will feature the artwork
of my elementary students at St. Victor School in Monroe. Throughout the afternoon,
students will visit the workstations of working artists from the area. Students
from Monroe High School will be on hand also to demonstrate a variety of art
media. From 5:00-7:30 PM There will be a spaghetti dinner held in the St Victor
gym. As you dine, "famous artists" and "masks of the world"
will roam from table to table to tell you their tales. Also, don't miss the
visit from the Chinese dragon, a custom-written 4th grade performance art
play and 2nd grade puppet plays performed throughout the evening. A greattime
will be had by all!

Set and
Prop Design Class. Ages: 12-18

- 2:30 PM (4 Hour Class with ½ hour lunch break) Cost: $30 for non-MTG
members, $25 for MTG members Description: Students will learn all aspects
of set and prop design from reading a script through prop creation and scenic
painting. Using the script Arthur and the Magical Sword and the Stone, students
will design and paint the set and collect, adapt and create the props needed
for the script. The set and props will be used for the Play-in-a-Day workshop
on May 2nd. Class will be held at the Monroe Theatre Guild STAGE building

Masks and
Mime Class Ages: 8-12
Instructors: Nadine Whiteman & Suzanne Miller
10:00AM - 3:30 PM (5 Hour Class with ½ hour lunch break) Cost: $40
for non-MTG members, $35 for MTG members including mask supplies
Participants will start the morning reading a story with many characters.
Each student will be assigned a character and will create a mask to match
their part. With only body and hand movements—a technique often used
in professional acting programs-- students will rehearse the story in mime.
A mask and mime performance will take place at 3:00 PM on the workshop day.
Students will get to keep their masks. Class
will be held at the Monroe Theatre Guild STAGE building 910 16th Avenue, Monroe
